Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information TubePrep ("we", "us") handles when you use freethumbnailchecker.com (the "Service"). The short version: our tools run entirely in your browser, and we do not collect, upload or store the content you work with.
1. Content you process
Files and text you load into our tools — including images, subtitle files, scripts and chapter lists — are processed locally on your device using your browser's built-in APIs. This content is never transmitted to our servers, and it is discarded when you close or reload the page.
2. Information stored on your device
We use your browser's local storage for one purpose only: remembering your light/dark theme preference. This value stays on your device, is not sent to us, and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings. We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising.
3. Technical data collected by our infrastructure
Like virtually every website, the servers that deliver our pages may automatically record standard request information, such as:
- IP address
- Browser type and version, and operating system
- The page requested, referring URL and date/time of the request
4. Third-party services
Our pages load web fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser fetches these fonts, Google receives your IP address and standard request data, as described in Google's Privacy Policy. The Thumbnail Downloader loads thumbnail images directly from YouTube's image servers (i.ytimg.com), so YouTube receives the same kind of request data when you use it. Our hosting provider may also process request logs as described above. We do not use analytics, advertising networks or social-media tracking pixels.
5. How we use information
Request logs are used only to operate, secure and troubleshoot the Service (for example, to detect abuse or diagnose errors). If you email us, we use your email address and message solely to respond to you. We do not sell, rent or share personal information for marketing purposes.
6. Data retention
Content processed by our tools is never stored by us. Server logs are retained only for as long as needed for the purposes above. Emails you send us are kept for as long as necessary to handle your request and then deleted.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, and to object to processing. Because we collect so little, most requests can be resolved quickly — contact us at [email protected].
8. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
10. Contact
